PETAPETA: School of Nightmares is a stealth-survival game where paper dolls come to life and hunt you through a labyrinthine school. You play as a child trying to escape a nightmarish version of your classroom, where every step might awaken something twisted and mechanical in the shadows.
The game begins innocently—a quiet school after dark. But as you explore, you realize the hallways shift, and creatures made of folded paper patrol the corridors. These PETAPETA dolls react to sound, movement, and sometimes even your heartbeat. Stealth is your only weapon, and each new level adds a mechanic that makes hiding harder.
Despite the pressure, players can find hidden notes, chalk-drawn symbols, and classroom tools to aid their escape. Some items distract the paper monsters, while others open secret compartments. Finding a working flashlight or a noise-canceling bell can mean the difference between survival and restart.
PETAPETA: School of Nightmares includes several hidden modes, including a “Silent Mode” where you must escape without making any sound at all. There’s also a “Flooded Wing” challenge where you move slower, but the dolls do not. Players have discovered exploits that allow clipping through classroom walls or bypassing certain floors—but only by triggering events out of order.
PETAPETA: School of Nightmares is not just about survival—it’s about mastering fear through rhythm and stealth. You’re not fighting monsters—you’re outsmarting them, one silent step at a time.
